Etnoumlje is a blog dedicated to music, culture, the artistic scene, tradition and contemporary practices, field experiences, travels, and personal reflections on topics that naturally intertwine with sound, society, and the time we live in. It is the successor to the magazine of the same name, launched in 2007 as a print publication and continued in an online format from 2018. Changes in ways of living, working, and communicating, as well as the broader social context, opened space for rethinking both form and content. On the foundations and experience of the Etnoumlje magazine, the blog emerged as a more flexible, personal, and open medium. The blog is run and written by Brzonoga, the pseudonym of Marija Vitas – an ethnomusicologist, music critic and journalist, and organizer of cultural and music events with many years of experience in domestic and international media. The Etnoumlje blog logo was designed by Anja Pejinović.
